8 Simple Things...

Val tagged me with the "8 Things..."-tag. So here goes.

8 Things I'm Passionate About:
1-My boys, Ricky and Kyle.
2-The rest of my fab family.
3-Nature, mountains, clouds, etc. (no, I'm not a tree-hugger. I just like nature).
4-Music, listening to or playing it.
5-Reading everything.
6-Eating (not good!)
7-Sudoku.
8-Shopping (also not good).

8 Words or Phrases I Say Often:
1-The back of yo head is re-dicka-lis! (to Kyle)
2-Word! (to everyone)
3-I'm gonna gitcha! (to Kyle)
4-You're fine! (to Kyle)
5-Gimme smooches! (to everyone...well, maybe just Kyle)
6-Dude (what I call Kyle)
7-I want ice cream (always)
8-Serious? (to Ricky)

8 Things I Want To Do Before I Die:
1-Publish a kids book or something.
2-Run a 5k.
3-Compete on Jeopardy!
4-Fix the hole in the ozone layer.
5-Teach my kiddo's to be good people.
6-Grow a wicked good garden.
7-Understand Shakespeare and Isaiah.
8-Learn as much as humanly possible.

8 Things I Currently Want or Need:
1-About a year and a half worth of good nights' sleeps.
2-A decent car that both works and has air conditioning.
3-To unpack the rest of my crap and clean my house.
4-About $100,000 in the bank.
5-Ice cream.
6-Books, books, books!
7-To live closer to my family (I know, Pocatello is waaaaay better than Arkansas, but still...).
8-Did I mention ice cream?

I'm kinda too tired to tag anyone, so if you want to post your list of 8 things, do it, cause I would love to read it!

I'm Quirk-tastic!

First off- thanks for the suggestions on improving my blog. I'm getting better, really!
Second off- Jess tagged me with the quirk-bug and I have to post my 6 biggest quirks. Good thing I have to stop at 6. My list of quirks could be loooooong.

1-I like to eat frozen stuff. Some stuff is just so good frozen, like chocolate chips, Milk Duds, Ding Dongs, grapes, etc. Ricky gets annoyed that I always put our treats in the freezer.

2-I'm an obsessive reader. Not just books, but everything. If anything is left lying around, like junk mail, newsletters, anything, I have to read it. So don't leave stuff where I can find it if you don't want me to know about it!

3-When I blow my nose it sounds like a fog horn.

4-I like to stand on stuff, like chairs or step-stools or whatever. Mom said that I've always done that, and I don't know why. I think it's because you get a different view from up higher, and that makes life a little more interesting.

5-Like Jessica and Amber, I am a compulsive list-maker. On my daily to-do list, I list what lists I need to make, like menus, shopping lists, packing lists, books I want lists. That's pretty sad. Sometimes I even write down the things that I had already done that day, just so I can cross them off my list. It feels soooo good.

6-I'm a total germ-a-phobe. When I come into any house from anywhere, I automatically feel like my hands are dirty and that I need to wash them. Even if I washed them right before I left and only walked outside to get the mail.

Ricky just walked in and said that one of my annoying quirks is that I wash brand new clothes before we wear them (I'm only a stickler about this with Kyle). He also finds it weird that I have kept all of the owners manuals of all the products I've ever owned (which isn't true, because a few months ago before we moved, I went through my file of manuals and threw away the ones for the products that I no longer own).

Oh yeah, I tag Laura, Val, and Michelle.

Me Dum Dum. Need help.

I need help. In more ways than one. I have been trying to jazz up my blog, but I don't know how to or what to do or anything. Can anyone give me suggestions? How do I put slide shows, playlists, new backgrounds, etc. on there?

Blowing Raspberries

Kyle's new favorite thing it to blow raspberries, and he's really good at making them nice and slobbery and sharing that slobber. It's even more fun when he does it while I'm trying to feed him cereal. But the funniest was the other night. He woke up in the middle of the night to eat, and after I was done feeding him, I went to put him back in bed. He was asleep as I was carrying him, but he started blowing raspberries in his sleep. It was sooo funny!

Vacation!

So a few weeks ago after we got to Idaho, Ricky and I decided that we needed a vacation, since the last time we took one together was our honeymoon. And no, driving across the country while we were moving did NOT count as a vacation! So we went to Island Park for a few days and stayed at Grandma's cabin, drove through Yellowstone, and then drove through Grand Teton National Park. We had a fab time. It was nice to be out in nature. It's been years since I've enjoyed being outside for any extended amount of time (no offense, Arkansas). Kyle had a good time, too, even though he was in the car again for hours. But he was a little trooper. We got some pretty good pictures, too. Enjoy!

Kkkkkaaaaarrrrllll!

Here are some pictures of our cuteness, Kyle (aka Karl - I don't know why, but I called him Karl one day when he was just wee. It must have been the sleep deprivation or something). He is growing up so fast, and somehow just keeps getting cuter!

Our first post!

We finally have internet! After too long without internet access, we finally have it! (Thank you, graduate school, for necessitating this!) Hopefully, I'll be able to figure this blog stuff out. Until then, deal with my dum-dum-ness. I'll work on getting some cute cute pictures of our cute cute boy on here, too.
